With interests in videography, sound recording and constructing electronic circuits, I studied electronic systems engineering at university, specialising in audio and broadcast video in my final year. A flair with the written word led me into technical journalism, writing for many of the leading publications of the day, including Drives & Controls, Engineering, Design Engineering, and Industrial Technology.
Over 25 years of industry experience
Most recently, I have begun offering video services for clients, including filming and editing of product videos, corporate videos, training videos, conference videos, interviews and more. Expert in Final Cut Pro editing software, and having refreshed my camera skills with the Institute of Videography, I can take on any project large or small, with individually priced jobs to fit any budget or requirement. Clients to date include ABB, Festo, Igus, Rittal, Black Cat Acoustics and UHV Design.
Fast forward to the present, and as a freelance media professional I’m providing a range of writing, audio and video services for clients across the country. I edit Industrial Technology – the UK’s favourite engineering design magazine – and provide technical writing support for companies looking to maximise the impact of their websites.
I have brought my knowledge of audio into the corporate world as well, providing everything from voiceover and podcast recording services to sound reinforcement at seminars, conferences and events.
